Kniting has been my yoga, my zen during this rollarcoaster of a pregnancy. We are expecting our second child and received bad news after our 20 weeks ultrasound. We received news of a healthy baby boy developing but my body wasn't cooperating. I was diagnosed with a 'funneled cervix'. This diagnosis came with a large possibility of losing the baby.
I went from happily pregnant, juggling a toddler and a full time job to bedrest with medications around the clock. Knitting was the only activity I could do to calm my nerves and reduce my stress one stitch at a time. I believe this craft literally helped save our baby!
This was one of many projects I worked on while in bed for my smart, beautiful daughter and soon to be big sister. I'm now 35 weeks and going strong having defeated the odds by staying pregnant. I was able to occupy my mind and knit away the stress of our situation while nurturing my love for knitting. So thankful! I love knitting!
